Terry Rozier, Drew Bledsoe Hang Out Before 76ers vs. Celtics' Game 5
Terry Rozier will have thousands of fans cheering for him during Wednesday's Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden, but one in particular stands out—former New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe.
As the Celtics shared, the two athletes hung out prior to Wednesday's contest:
This comes after Rozier wore a Bledsoe jersey as he arrived for Game 1 of the Celtics' second-round series against Philadelphia:
The jersey appeared to be a play off a back-and-forth he had in the first round when Boston eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks. As Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe explained, Rozier accidentally called Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe "Drew Bledsoe" at the podium. When the Milwaukee guard heard about it, he wasn't pleased and said he didn't even know who Rozier was in response.
Boston fans took glee in chanting "Who is Bledsoe?" in Eric's direction as the Celtics eliminated the Bucks.
The result was more than a first-round win for Rozier, as he said, per Himmelsbach: "It's kind of like it was meant to be this way, because it worked out perfectly. Drew, that's my guy now."
