Master P: LiAngelo Ball's NBA Dream Not over Despite Not Getting Combine Invite
At least one person outside of the Ball family is confident LiAngelo Ball can make it in the NBA.
Master P told TMZ Sports he believes Ball will get an opportunity to play in the NBA, be it through the summer league or another avenue.
Ball declared for the 2018 NBA draft, but he wasn't among the players invited to the league's official predraft combine.
Josh Martin of Lonzo Wire reported Ball will participate in a two-day event at IMG Academy later this month and hopes to work out privately for NBA teams prior to the draft June 21.
Ball enrolled at UCLA as a freshman but left the school in December after he had been arrested in China on suspicion of shoplifting. He played 16 minutes for the Bruins in a preseason win over Cal State LA but didn't appear in a regular-season game for the team.
Ball and brother LaMelo moved to Lithuania to play for BC Vytautas. He averaged 12.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 14 Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) appearances.
Ball didn't crack the top 50 in Jonathan Wasserman's most recent big board for Bleacher Report.
