
NBA 2K League 2018: Schedule, Prize Money and Format for Esports Tournament
While the 2017-18 NBA season is winding down with the playoffs underway, the inaugural NBA 2K League is just beginning.
The event is getting underway with The Tipoff tournament that begins Tuesday and runs through Saturday. The NBA 2K official Twitter account shared the schedule for group play to determine who moves on to the quarterfinals:
In the NBA 2K League, 17 teams will compete over 17 weeks to determine a champion. The winning team will receive $300,000. The regular season begins May 11 and will conclude Aug. 11, at which point the playoff field will be set. The postseason starts Aug. 17, with the 2K League Finals set for Aug. 25 in a best-of-three series.
