Korean Basketball League Reportedly Implementing Height Limit
The Korean Basketball League is reportedly cutting down on the number of tall players in its league.
According to Jung Min-ho of the Korea Times, rules have been implemented limiting the number of foreign players per team to just two. What's more, those foreign players cannot be taller than two meters (6.56 feet).
Apparently, the rules were developed to prevent teams from simply recruiting the tallest players and focusing more on those with quickness and skills.
Min-ho noted the rule will prevent David Simon, who led the league in 2017-18 at 25.7 points per game, from playing.
"Personally, I don't really understand it," Simon told the radio program BBC OS, via Samer Kalaf of Deadspin. "Just from the fact that—there are only two or three of us that were even over the limit."
