Dennis Rodman Rips 'Awful' LiAngelo Ball: 'He's Not Good at All'

Scott PolacekApr 3, 2018

Dennis Rodman is not a fan of LiAngelo Ball's game.

"He's not good at all," Rodman said, per TMZ Sports. "He's awful."

Rodman wasn't impressed with Ball's performances in Lithuania, either, saying, "Teams over there just pretty much suck."

Despite the lackluster scouting report from the former Chicago Bulls rebounding force, Ball's agent, Harrison Gaines, told Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports his client declared for the 2018 NBA draft last week.

Rodman isn't the only one who thinks Ball will have trouble following his brother Lonzo's footsteps into the NBA.

In December, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com tweeted there was "no chance" LiAngelo would be selected in the 2018 draft, noting one general manager said, "He's not on any of our scouting lists—even the extended lists."

LiAngelo never had the billing of Lonzo—who plays point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers—or LaMelo Ball as a prospect, either, checking in as a 3-star recruit and the No. 226 player in the 2017 high school class, per 247Sports.

What's more, he didn't play for the UCLA Bruins this season following a shoplifting incident in China.

Despite that background, LiAngelo has impressed during exhibition showings in Lithuania for BC Vytautas. He dropped 44 points in Monday's victory over the London Lions and finished with a head-turning 72 points six days prior against the Guangdong Southern Tigers' junior team.

Granted, that is not exactly NBA-level competition, but he will have the opportunity to make an impression before June 21's draft.

According to Charania, LiAngelo will participate in the Pro Basketball Combine at Florida's IMG Academy in May and work out for some NBA teams after playing in Lithuania.
