NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament 2018: Complete Final Four Schedule, Bracket

David McCrackenMar 30, 2018

The women's NCAA tournament Final Four features four No. 1 seeds. Louisville and Mississippi State square off before Connecticut battles Notre Dame.

The Huskies are the favorites to win the national championship this season, but they have a tough path ahead of them against the Fighting Irish and the winner of Mississippi State and Louisville.

Connecticut lost in last year's tournament to the Bulldogs, and the potential for a dream rematch is still possible.

Louisville has dominated the field thus far through the tournament, which comes as no surprise. But the Cardinals haven't just been good, they've been great.

Louisville has won each game in the tournament by at least 18 points, courtesy of Asia Durr (18.7 points per game) and Myisha Hines-Allen (14.1 ppg).

But looking to upset the Cardinals on their magical Final Four run are the Bulldogs, who are looking to make up for last year's disappointing national championship game loss a year ago.

Led by Teaira McCowan, Mississippi State will look to give Louisville fits down in the paint. McCowan is a double-double machine and leads the country in offensive rebounding.

Speaking of disappointing losses, perhaps no other team is hungrier for redemption than the Huskies.

After an upset loss to Mississippi State in last year's tournament, the Huskies have been on an absolute tear this season, holding an undefeated record through the regular season, winning their conference tournament and dominating the field in the NCAA bracket, winning each game by an average of 37 points.

Connecticut has five (yes, five) players who average double-digit points per game, but looking to slow the Huskies down will be Notre Dame's impressive offense, which has one of the country's top scorers at its disposal.

Arike Ogunbowale will have to play the game of her life against Connecticut and surpass her averages of 20.7 ppg, 44.9 percent shooting from the field and 37.9 percent from deep.
