Sebastian Telfair's Wife Granted Restraining Order After Alleged Violent Event
Samantha Telfair, the estranged wife of former NBA point guard Sebastian Telfair, received a three-year restraining order against him after alleged violent destruction of property in January.
On Wednesday, TMZ Sports reported a Los Angeles County judge granted the permanent order to replace a previous temporary one after she said Telfair kicked the door at her home and smashed her car windshield on Jan. 12.
In court documents filed in January, Samantha said her estranged husband had "become increasingly hostile, unstable and violent," per the Blast.

She was also concerned the 32-year-old New York City native may be suicidal and argued their two children "should not be exposed to his violence and rants about his suicidal tendencies."
The restraining order states Sebastian cannot contact Samantha in any way, including phone calls, texts or emails, per TMZ Sports.
He was also arrested on gun possession-related charges in NYC last June.
Telfair was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 13th overall pick in the 2004 draft. A high school phenom, he never lived up to expectations at the professional level. He played for eight different teams across 10 seasons, most recently for the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2014-15 campaign.
