Western Kentucky 92, Oklahoma State 84

Western Kentucky became the third No. 4 seed to reach the semifinals with its eight-point win over Oklahoma State. It was also the team's second straight win on the road.
ESPN Stats and Info provided the historical significance:
Taveion Hollingsworth has disappeared at times during his freshman season, scoring only four points in the recent double-overtime win over USC, but he was certainly active in this one.
The guard matched a career-high with 30 points while shooting 4-of-7 from three and adding eight rebounds in a dominant overall performance.
Dwight Coleby also made a big impact inside with 16 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks.
Kendall Smith scored 19 for Oklahoma State, but the inability to finish inside as a team prevented the visitors from catching up.
The Hilltoppers jumped out to an early lead with a 22-15 first quarter, keeping it going with as much as a nine-point lead in the second half.
Although the Cowboys fought back and cut the lead to one in the fourth quarter, they were unable to go ahead.
The game was ugly at times with pushing, shoving and technical fouls, but Western Kentucky did enough to stay alive in the tournament.
The squad will now take on the winner of Saint Mary's and Utah.
