Floyd Mayweather Challenges Kobe Bryant to 1-on-1 Basketball Game for $1 Million

Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants to bring Kobe Bryant out of retirement for a head-to-head showdown.

The boxer commented on a Bryant Instagram post about the making of his Dear Basketball animated film with an odd challenge.

"I'm ready to play you one on one for $1,000,000," Mayweather wrote.

The world has already witnessed one star-studded cash-grab starring Mayweather: his victory over Conor McGregor in August. It's safe to say the 5'8", 150-pound boxer wouldn't pose much competition for Bryant on the basketball court.

Unless that $1 million is going to charity, this one-on-one matchup hardly seems necessary. A boxer challenging an NBA icon to a game of hoops makes even less sense than an MMA fighter boxing an undefeated pugilist.
