Jimmy Butler Plays with Illness, Helps Timberwolves Beat Thunder with Late Win
Jun 1, 2018
Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Jimmy Butler missed two games with a respiratory infection, but he returned to action to propel his team to a 119-116 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
Butler recorded 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
Butler's most important bucket came down the stretch when he drove baseline to the basket and scored over Thunder center Steven Adams to put the Timberwolves up 118-112 with 1:08 left in the fourth quarter.
This performance doesn't compare to Michael Jordan's Flu Game, but Minnesota will take the win with a star player closing the game feeling less than 100 percent.
