Crying Jordan Meme Appears as Subject of 'Jeopardy!' Question

Jeopardy! contestants must laboriously study history, science, literature and a cavalcade of other topics before proving their knowledge on the ABC game show.

On Wednesday night, they were asked about memes.

Yes, respected host Alex Trebek read a clue referring to the Crying Jordan meme, a hopefully defunct trend where people imposed a tearful Michael Jordan onto somebody else's face.

"For some reason, a picture of this athlete crying after his NBA Hall of Fame induction in 2009 became meme-worthy in '16," Trebek said as the answer to "Fine meme-ories" for $400.

One of the competitors correctly identified Jordan, but none of those bright minds could figure out that strange "some reason."
