The feud between O'Neal and Ball kicked off in May when O'Neal threw shade at Ball and the Big Baller Brand for the price of their basketball shoes:

Ball remained surprisingly quiet on the issue until July 15 before saying he and his son, LaMelo Ball, would "kill" O'Neal and his son, Shareef O'Neal, in a game of two-on-two:

O'Neal did close his diss track of LaVar by offering praise for doing "a great job" raising his sons and LaMelo's "hella cool" attitude.

Lonzo Ball will be following in O'Neal's footsteps as a star for the Los Angeles Lakers. The rookie point guard has a long way to go before matching O'Neal's individual and team accomplishments, but he's been given the keys to the car after being selected second overall in the 2017 NBA draft.
