BIG3 League Basketball 2017 Results: Rashad McCants Stars as Trilogy Reaches 5-0
Ice Cube's BIG3 basketball league landed in the Windy City Sunday for the fifth weekend of competition, featuring four games at the UIC Pavilion on the West Side of Chicago.
According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, a sellout crowd of 9,044 made its way to the arena to see former NBA players such as Cuttino Mobley, Stephen Jackson and Rashard Lewis lace it up again during the Association's offseason.
There were some notable attendees among the sellout crowd:
Here is a look at the four games, as well as key stats from each.
Power Beats Ball Hogs, 51-34

Mobley led the way for the victorious Power with 21 points, but he received some critical help from former Chicago Bull Jerome Williams. Williams notched 11 points and eight rebounds in the win.
However, it was Mobley who caught Rick Barry's eye:
Rasual Butler was the only player who finished in double figures for the Ball Hogs with 12 points.
Trilogy Beats Tri-State, 51-34

Rashad McCants put on a show for Trilogy and nearly outscored Tri-State by himself with 27 points and eight rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting from the field.
James White added 16 points as the only other Trilogy player with more than four points in the McCants-dominated effort.
Tri-State also largely featured a one-man show with Mike James, as he scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. However, he didn't have the same support as McCants and was the only player on his team to reach double figures in the loss.
3 Headed Monsters Beats 3's Company, 51-32

3 Headed Monsters went with a more balanced approach and received 19 points from Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, 16 points from Lewis and 11 points from former top pick Kwame Brown. The three also controlled the boards with Brown grabbing 12 rebounds, Lewis tallying nine and Abdul-Rauf finishing with eight.
3's Company had made headlines because Allen Iverson is the player-coach, but Andre Owens was the only double-figure scorer with 13 points.
Chicago native Chance the Rapper was in attendance and captured Iverson entering the arena:
However, the former Philadelphia 76ers great didn't play and said, "I can't compete with these guys," per Johnson. "And I'm not ashamed to say it. I had my time. The way I look at it is they're getting back at me for what I used to do to them."
Ghost Ballers Beats Killer 3s, 50-46
Ghost Ballers edged Killer 3s in the only close final score of the evening thanks to the efforts of Ivan Johnson, Mike Bibby and Ricky Davis.
Johnson scored 20 points, while Bibby and Davis each added 15. Bibby also hauled in eight rebounds and dished out seven assists, earning the admiration of the BIG3 in the process:
As for the Killer 3s, Jackson led the way with 22 points, while Reggie Evans notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The league will shift to Dallas Sunday for the next round of competition in American Airlines Center.
