'The Full 48' Podcast: Warriors Have Another Draft Steal in Jordan Bell

In today's NBA, the rich have a way of getting richer. Enter the Golden State Warriors, who might have unearthed another second-round draft gem in former Oregon forward Jordan Bell.

Bell, who's already drawing comparisons to new teammate and former second-round draft pick Draymond Green, had the Warriors' attention well before this year's draft. He figures to fit seamlessly into Golden State's rotation, providing component parts such as defensive versatility, rim protection, and a high-flying lob option. 

Bleacher Report's Howard Beck caught up with Bell at Las Vegas Summer League to discuss his pre-draft conversations with the Warriors, how he expects to contribute to the defending champs, and how he's assimilating to the Warriors culture. See highlights from their conversation below.

On acclimating to "the Warriors way"

I think my role that I had in college is exactly what they're gonna have me do here. Rebound, block shots, defend, show my versatility ..."

On Draymond Green Comparisons

"I've been hearing that for a while now ... I've just been watching him. Trying to develop my game like him. Obviously, the way the NBA's going now it's much smaller ball."

On what's going through your head when you find out you're going to the champs?

I knew they liked me a lot ... I'm just super excited ... I always said this is the best fit for me ... 

On Hitting up Draymond Green For Advice

I'm definitely gonna try to pick his brain every chance I get. My locker's right next to him, so before and after practice ... try to learn something every single day.

On watching bigs in Warriors' system

I've just been watching film of Draymond, JaVale [McGee], Zaza [Pachulia]—just people who are going to be in my position. ... I've been watching so many clips on Draymond. How he defends the post—how he defends the perimeter, switching on screens, steals, all kinds of things like that.
