Gordon Hayward Rumors: Star to Make Decision on Celtics, Heat, Jazz on Tuesday
Gordon Hayward will reportedly decide his next basketball destination Tuesday.
On Monday, Sam Amick of USA Today said the small forward "will sleep on his decision" between staying with the Utah Jazz or joining the Miami Heat or Boston Celtics. Jody Genessy of the Deseret News noted Hayward's agent said he would listen to pitches from the suitors and "take a deep breath" before picking between the teams.
Amick hinted Hayward may have a difficult time stepping away from the only NBA team he has ever known:

Each team presents its advantages and opportunities to win in the near future.
Boston coach Brad Stevens coached Hayward at Butler and has a team coming off an Eastern Conference Finals appearance. The Celtics have a realistic path to the NBA Finals considering the Western Conference appears to be the much more formidable league after Chris Paul was traded to the Houston Rockets and superstars Jimmy Butler, Paul George and Paul Millsap all headed West from the East.
The Heat are also in the East and would give him the chance to play alongside Hassan Whiteside and Justise Winslow while living in Miami.
In addition to familiarity, the Jazz feature a formidable core with Rudy Gobert and now Ricky Rubio as a pass-first point guard who could set Hayward up for easy looks.
This is such a battle that the marquee players at each destination took to Twitter to duke it out:

Whichever team lands Hayward will have a 27-year-old blossoming star coming off a career-high 21.9 points per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field and 39.8 percent shooting from three-point range.
