Michael Carter-Williams Rumors: Rockets, Knicks, Thunder Among PG's Suitors
As a free agent for the first time in his career, Michael Carter-Williams is generating a lot of interest on the market.
According to The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears, the New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte Hornets have all shown interest in the point guard, and the Houston Rockets contacted him when the free-agent moratorium period began at 12:01 ET Saturday morning.
The Milwaukee Bucks traded the 2013-14 NBA Rookie of the Year to the Chicago Bulls before the start of last season, and the Bulls used him sparingly.
In 45 games, including 19 starts, Carter-Williams set career lows in minutes per contest (18.8), points (6.6), rebounds (3.4) and assists (2.5).
Coming off a down season, Carter-Williams will be looking to rebuild his value. He's just 25 years old and has been an effective role player in the past for the Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.
With so many teams interested in Carter-Williams' services, it shouldn't be hard for him to find the right situation that will help him maximize his abilities.
