Isaiah Thomas: Lone All-Defense Voter Is a 'Real One,' Hopes to Make 3rd Team

After the NBA released its All-Defensive teams ahead of its first awards show Monday, Twitter boiled over with outrage over one vote.
Not a selection; a single vote.
One second-team All-Defensive nomination went to Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas, statistically one of the worst defenders in the NBA. His Defensive Real Plus-Minus was the league's lowest outside of Doug McDermott, as Sports Illustrated's Ben Golliver noted:
Ole's Marcelo Nogueira, the lone Thomas voter, curiously had Stephen Curry on his All-Defensive team as well.
Thomas jokingly appreciated the nod and promised an increased performance next season:
