Paul Pierce Says He Might Ask Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant to Form BIG3 Team
Paul Pierce enjoyed the best run of his career as part of the Boston Celtics' second iteration of the Big Three. Now that he's retired, The Truth opened the door to forming a new BIG3 trio.
During a sideline interview with Michael Rapaport, Pierce praised the debuting three-on-three basketball league as the "the next big thing." When pressed about suiting up alongside other retired NBA stars, he said he "might try to convince" Garnett and Kobe Bryant to join him.
Spacing is paramount in three-on-three contests. If only Pierce and Garnett played with a skilled shooter. Perhaps one who had game.
It's also unknown if Ice Cube's league will welcome expansion after its inaugural season. Or if there will be a second season. Then again, Pierce has too much integrity to join a superteam.
