Minnesota Timberwolves Officially Unveil New Logo, 1st Step of Team Redesign

After it leaked online earlier in the day, the Minnesota Timberwolves officially unveiled their new-look logo on Tuesday night.

It's the first step of what will become a revamped look for the Wolves starting in 2017-18. Yes, that means uniforms, too.

Twitter user CJ Fogler passed along an animation detailing the history of the Wolves' logos: 

That first one is sweet. Nothing beats a throwback.

Rare Design's Rodney Richardson, who designed the new logo, connected the colors to the state of Minnesota:

Fans on Twitter seemed somewhat indifferent about the new logo. The uniforms, good or bad, are likely to draw a stronger reaction.
