Rapper Master P Wants an Assistant Coaching Job with the Pelicans: 'I'm Serious'
Even after acquiring star big man DeMarcus Cousins, the New Orleans Pelicans remain outside the NBA playoff picture.
Rapper and NOLA native Master P thinks he can help.
During an interview with TMZ on Monday, Percy Miller—who had NBA contracts with the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors in the late 1990s—was asked how the Pelicans can improve this offseason.

"I think they need me to be an assistant coach," Miller said. "... Yeah, I'm serious about coaching."
Romeo Miller, Master P's son, drove by during the interview. The former USC Trojan called his dad a "winning coach."

That segued into a discussion about Lonzo Ball and his outspoken dad, LaVar, whom Master P supports.
"I think that a lot of kids need their fathers in their life, especially if you're playing sports," he said.
