The Hype: Looking at Kobe Bryant's Influence on Devin Booker's 70-Point Game
Thomas DuffyMar 26, 2017
On Friday night, Phoenix Suns rising star Devin Booker scored 70 points in a 130-120 loss against the Boston Celtics. It was the highest scoring output since Kobe Bryant's 81-point game in 2006.
It's no surprise the 20-year-old Booker emulates the now-retired Black Mamba.
Last year, Bryant talked about how Booker tried to use his own moves against him, per Kevin Zimmerman of ArizonaSports.com. Kobe also signed a pair of shoes for the rookie shooting guard with the inscription "Be Legendary."
Looks like those words stuck.
