Darrelle Revis Charges from Alleged Assault Dismissed by Judge
A judge on Wednesday dismissed all charges against free-agent cornerback Darrelle Revis, according to Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com.
Revis was expecting this outcome, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN:

Revis was facing two counts of felony aggravated assault, a felony count each of robbery and conspiracy and a misdemeanor charge of making terroristic threats after an incident in Pittsburgh in February.
Revis was accused of fighting two men and injuring them badly after they had approached him and began to film him with their cellphones. The accusers claimed Revis had taken one of the men's phones to delete the video, and when they attempted to obtain it, Revis and one other man allegedly assaulted them.
Revis and his lawyer, Blaine Jones, said the cornerback was the one assaulted, however.
Some of the discrepancies in the stories may have been cleared up Wednesday. According to Kinkhabwala, Revis' childhood friend and high school teammate, Rashawn Bolton, told the judge he had pulled the two men off Revis in the altercation and "punched them after they charged."
He also said the voice on the following video was his (warning: contains NSFW language):
"If you was my friend and you said you was getting jumped, I'd help you," Jones told the judge, per Kinkhabwala.
The New York Jets cut Revis, 31, in late February purely as a "football decision," a source told Brian Costello of the New York Post. While they did so as Revis was facing legal difficulties for the incident in Pittsburgh, his declining play and the fact the Jets gained $9.3 million in cap space by releasing him were logical justifications for the decision.
Revis remains one of the biggest names available in free agency, and interest will now likely increase with his legal concerns behind him. Revis told Kinkhabwala he is still hungry to play, is willing to move to safety and has cut 10 pounds since last season. He also hinted at one destination he might be targeting, telling Kinkhabwala that playing for his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers "would be a dream come true."
"What happened is in the past now and all I can do is move forward," he added.
