Big Ten Tournament 2017: Semifinals Scores, Championship Bracket and Schedule
The Michigan Wolverines stunned observers Friday when they upset the top-seeded Purdue Boilermakers at the 2017 Big Ten tournament, and they hoped to extend their magical run on Saturday.
However, the Maize and Blue had to contend with the upstart Minnesota Golden Gophers if they wanted to compete in the conference title game on Sunday at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
In late-afternoon action, the second-seeded Wisconsin Badgers hoped to avoid another loss at the hands of the Northwestern Wildcats with a chance to improve their standing in the eyes of the NCAA tournament selection committee.

Here's a look at Saturday's results, as well as an updated schedule for Sunday's action:
| No. 8 Michigan vs. No. 4 Minnesota | Michigan 84, Minnesota 77 |
| No. 6 Northwestern vs. No. 2 Wisconsin | Wisconsin 76, Northwestern 48 |
| Sunday, March 12 | Michigan vs. Wisconsin | 3 p.m. | CBS |
Michigan 84, Minnesota 77

The Wolverines are officially feeling it.
A day after they stunned the Boilermakers, the Wolverines burned the Golden Gophers behind an efficient and dynamic offense in a convincing seven-point win.
Derrick Walton Jr. was in a zone, and he finished with a career-high 29 points, nine assists, five rebounds and two steals. All told, he shot 8-of-15 from the field, including a couple big buckets down the stretch to help Michigan put Minnesota away for good, as Sports Illustrated's Brian Hamilton noted:
The Wolverines also received 17 points (6-of-7 shooting) and four rebounds from Moritz Wagner as they shot 53.7 percent from the field as a team.
All five Golden Gophers starters finished in double figures, but a short six-man rotation hindered Minnesota's ability to remain competitive late as heavy legs proved costly in crunch time.
The Wolverines will now return to the Verizon Center hardwood Sunday in search of a win that could boost them a seed line or two when the NCAA tournament bracket is officially released.
Wisconsin 76, Northwestern 48

It was all Badgers, all the time on Saturday.
Although the Wildcats entered the semifinal tilt riding high following a win over the Maryland Terrapins on Friday, they didn't have any answers for Wisconsin's poised attack.
Nigel Hayes and Ethan Happ paced Wisconsin with 18 and 16 points, respectively, and the Badgers simply couldn't be stopped from three. As a team, Wisconsin shot 12-of-29 from beyond the arc.
That number served as a stark contrast to Northwestern's conversion rate, which clocked in at 21.4 percent (3-of-14 overall).
If there was a bright spot for Northwestern, it was Scottie Lindsey. As the centerpiece of the Wildcats' offense, Lindsey dropped 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
Wisconsin will now square off against the Wolverines on Sunday for Big Ten bragging rights. And if the regular season was any indication, the showdown should be a tight one.
The Badgers and Wolverines split the season series one game apiece, with Wisconsin's win coming by four points on Jan. 17 and Michigan's triumph coming by six points on Feb. 16.
