J.R. Smith Returns, Hits Fadeaway Corner 3 Versus Pistons

Zac WassinkMar 9, 2017

Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith returned from a serious thumb injury Thursday night to play against the Detroit Pistons, and he seemed to be his old self late into the second quarter of the contest at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

With under three minutes to play in the first half, Smith nearly lost control of his dribble near the top corner. The veteran claimed possession of the ball, set his feet and hit a fadeaway three over Detroit forward Tobias Harris.

For at least one sequence of play, it was as if Swish never missed any playing time during the season.
