Wednesday Recap
Miami 62, Syracuse 57

The Miami Hurricanes advanced to the quarterfinals with a 62-57 victory over the Syracuse Orange, but the city of Greensboro, North Carolina, arguably walked away as the biggest victor.
Normally a fixture in Greensboro over the years, the ACC tournament moved to Washington, D.C. in 2016 before heading to Brooklyn in 2017.
"There's no value to playing in Greensboro. None," Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim said following Wednesday's game, per ZagsBlog's Adam Zagoria.
That elicited this response from Greensboro on Twitter:
".@AdamZagoria @ACCSports We kindly disagree. But I guess you can lose in the 1st round anywhere. At least it's a quick ride home.
— City of Greensboro (@greensborocity) March 8, 2017"
Going back to the actual game, Kamari Murphy led the Hurricanes with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Davon Reed chipped in with 14 points. Dejan Vasiljevic also played a big role in the result, coming off the bench to score 13 points.
Duke 79, Clemson 72

Duke overcame a poor shooting day to beat the Clemson Tigers 79-72 and move on to the quarterfinals.
The Blue Devils aren't among the best three-point shooting teams in the country, but they entered Wednesday knocking down 37.6 percent of their attempts from beyond the arc.
Against Clemson, Duke went 5-of-21 from three-point range. Jayson Tatum was the worst offender, missing six of his seven attempts from outside.
However, that didn't stop Tatum from scoring a team-high 20 points, a total matched by Luke Kennard and Frank Jackson. Amile Jefferson also posted a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds).
Jaron Blossomgame dropped 19 points in a losing effort for Clemson.
Virginia Tech 99, Wake Forest 90

Riding a huge game by Zach LeDay, the Virginia Tech Hokies advanced following a 99-90 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
LeDay came off the bench to score 31 points and grab 15 rebounds. ESPN Stats & Info put his performance in perspective:
"Zach LeDay:1st D-1 player with at least 30 points & 15 rebounds off the bench since Carl Montgomery Chicago State, 2011 vs Houston Baptist
— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) March 9, 2017"
The senior forward wasn't the only Hokies bench player who stepped up in a big way, Seth Allen scored 18 points in 29 minutes. Ty Outlaw had a nice shooting night, going 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and finishing with 14 points.
The Demon Deacons lost despite the best efforts of Konstantinos Mitoglou and John Collins, who each posted a double-double. Mitoglou had 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Collins scored 15 points and grabbed 10 boards.
Virginia 75, Pittsburgh 63

Three-point shooting hasn't been a hallmark of the Cavaliers in 2016-17, but they had their stroke Wednesday night against the Panthers. Virginia went 11-of-22 from beyond the arc en route to a 75-63 win over Pitt.
Kyle Guy was Virginia's leading scorer (20 points), while London Perrantes scored 15 points. The two combined to go 6-of-11 from three-point range.
Bench scoring also played a big role in the result. The Cavaliers got 23 points from their bench, compared to zero from the Panthers.
Pittsburgh had three starters score in double figures, but without solid contributions across the board, the team was unable to unlock Virginia's tough defense.
An updated bracket is available on the ACC website.
