DeMarcus Cousins Tells Heckling Jazz Fan to 'Sit Your Fat Ass Down'
The Boogie era in New Orleans has gotten off to an, um, interesting start.
Not only are the New Orleans Pelicans just 1-5 since acquiring the All-Star big man, but DeMarcus Cousins has found himself exchanging words with fans...on multiple occasions.
On Sunday, Cousins had quite the NSFW exchange with a Los Angeles Lakers fan at the Staples Center. The next night against the Utah Jazz, the Pelicans star reacted to yet another fan.
Video shows a Jazz fan calling Boogie "soft." While many athletes have just learned to ignore hecklers, Cousins has apparently decided he's not going to sit back and just take the hate.
Fans pay good money to go watch these athletes play, which makes them feel like they can do or say whatever they want (which isn't the case). Although this exchange seemed to start fairly tame, there's only so much heckling an athlete can take before he or she responds—especially when their team loses.
