Mike ChiariMar 2, 2017

Upon returning from a trip to visit American troops in Afghanistan, former NBA All-Star Caron Butler revealed Wednesday that he witnessed a bomb scare.

According to TMZ Sports, the 36-year-old made a trip to the Middle East with the USO to interact with U.S. Army members, but a potential bomb threat created temporary chaos: "You could tell a lot of people was in like a extreme red alert. ... I was extremely scared to say the least."

Butler said he was moved to a different location for a period of time but added that he felt safe due to the personnel around him: "But at the same time I knew I was in the good hands of the U.S. Army and they took great care of us over there."
