On Tuesday, Bleacher Report NBA Senior Writer Kevin Ding penned a piece on New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.

Hours after its publication, Knicks president Phil Jackson chimed in:

It was a peculiar tweet that drew different interpretations.

Some, like ESPN.com's Ian Begley, saw it as a shot at Anthony, who's gone back and forth with the 71-year-old through the media in recent weeks:

Others, like Tim Ring of CBS 5 in Phoenix, took Jackson's tweet as a defense of his team's leading scorer:

Ding seemed to side with Begley and offered additional context:

Anthony is one of three players in the NBA with a no-trade clause in his contract. LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki are the others.
