Nike LeBron 14: An Inside Look at LeBron's Latest Signature Shoe
LeBron James is set to revolutionize the kicks game once more this month with the upcoming release of the LeBron 14.
First up is the "Black Ice" colorway, which debuts Saturday, January 28 for $175, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit.
The innovative new design boasts a dual-zone composite upper with eye-catching perforations and the must-have strap.
B/R Kicks took a look at Black Ice:
Sleek and befitting of its name, the midsole and icy translucent bottom round out a package that is sure to have competitors scrambling back to the drawing board.
Not that Black Ice is the only upcoming release for the LeBron 14 line. James himself showed off the “Out Of Nowhere” colorway (Warriors fans know what that name is about) on Christmas Day, then took to Instagram to show off the kicks:
LeBron has also taken the "PE" for a cruise, as captured by B/R Kicks:
It's the Black Ice leading the way with the first official release date as of this writing, though.
No doubt LeBron and Nike wanted to lead with a more modern look before going for the head-turning splash of yellows or grays and reds.
It's definitely not a bad way to start. Nice Kicks provided a look at the shoe out in the wild:
The colors themselves do the design justice. The high top provides the comfort and performance necessary and expected of a LeBron offering.
Flip to the back, and kicks lovers get a slick view of LeBron's logo. Sneaker News provided the angle:
It is often the little things that set signature shoes apart.
For the LeBron 14, can't-miss packaging is a big part of the equation. The box is must-see stuff, as is the Lion logo on the chain. Def Pen Kicks provided the zoom:
A new LeBron release has been a long time coming. But perfection doesn't happen overnight, and most who view the 14 would dare say it wasn't worth the wait.
With a strong offering right out of the gates splashed on a modern, innovative design—not to mention more colorways coming down the pipes—the sneaker game has to admit the King is indeed back.
