Nate Robinson Posts Video Preparing for NBA Comeback
Nate Robinson has not scored an NBA point since March 22, 2015. Currently without a home, the diminutive point guard is fighting to revive his career, highlighting his attempt with an Instagram post Monday.
Since getting released by the New Orleans Pelicans after two games in 2015-16, the 5'9", three-time Slam Dunk Contest champion averaged 16.2 points per game for Israel's Hapoel Tel Aviv.
He also attempted a shift to the NFL. While Robinson tried out for the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Pete Carroll labeled the career change "all but impossible," per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Robinson realized this, noting basketball is his "main focus" during a July interview with Slam Magazine's Abe Schwadron.
Despite recording 17.2 points per game for the New York Knicks in the 2008-09 season, he owes most of his notoriety to the All-Star Weekend dunk display. At 32 years old, it remains to be seen if he can still provide an offensive spark.
