The Return of the Air Jordan 15
While some might still celebrate the epic year that was 2016 for the Air Jordan Brand, the company has wasted little time blazing a path into 2017 with Saturday's release of the Air Jordan 15 "Stealth" colorway.
This first offering in a slate of Air Jordan 15 releases offers a futuristic style with savvy blacks and reds splashed on some epic patterns.
Here is a look at the release details, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit:
| Saturday, January 7th | $190 |
Believe it or not, this sleek look first hit the globe in 1999. To say it hasn't aged a bit would be a gross understatement.
SoleCollector.com provided a look at one angle:
It's quite the looker. Never mind the swooping angles and woven material slashing toward the back—how about the angle of the tongue? It's a callback to Michael Jordan's habit of sticking his tongue out during play.
As Sneaker Bar Detroit showed, the angles and smart color usage captures the eye from any angle:
The red on the back of the shoe is sure to grab attention and keep it. The sharp contrast there carries all the way to the bottom of the shoe.
Speaking of the bottom, fans can get a closer view of it from a look at the shoe out in the wild, provided by Twitter user Alex:

From the top-down angle, observers can get a peek at the Jumpman on the inside of the tongue, as well as the smooth design on the interior.
Twitter user Victor M Negron provided the zoom:
It's all about the little details with a release like this. As such, the designs and hidden things that don't immediately jump out deserve appreciation.
For instance, the silver Jumpman behind the rigid design on the back of the shoe, caught by SoleCollector.com:
Air Jordan couldn't have picked a better way to start off the new year.
Saturday's release is merely the first of a handful for the Air Jordan 15, with the "Obsidian" colorway also in the pipeline for those who want a brighter look.
For now, sneakerheads will have to rally around the darker "Stealth" colorway, a smooth offering sure to capture the attention of a new generation of fans.
A trailblazer still running strong, sneakerheads can grab the release starting Saturday.
