Clippers Coach Doc Rivers Loses His Cool on Ref, Has to Be Restrained
When Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers loses his cool, look out.
Near the end of the first overtime in Tuesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets, Rivers got upset over a foul that was called as his team tried to force a turnover while trailing by two.
The 55-year-old coach argued his case for a few seconds before walking away, but he soon became enraged when he got hit with a technical.
Rivers wound up having to be restrained by his players and coaching staff as he gave the refs a piece of his mind. The L.A. coach found himself heading to the locker room early after being ejected.
After the game, Rivers called it an "awful tech," per NBA.com:
The Clippers forced a second overtime even without their head coach, but they fell to the Nets, 127-122.
