LeBron James Surprises High School Basketball Team with Free Sneakers
This holiday season, James is fulfilling the role of sneaker Santa Claus.
The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar is donating footwear to children of all ages, including newborns, to commemorate last weekend's Ohio State-Michigan college football clash. He is also rewarding boys and girls basketball teams around the country for their success on and off the court.
The Baptist Preparatory School's boys basketball squad was the latest to receive Nike gear from James. One of its players, James , captured their incredulous reaction in the video above, and head coach Brian Ross shared James' accompanying letter:
As one kid gleefully shouts, "I don't have to get new shoes!" Getting recognized by an NBA icon is one thing, but avoiding an arduous shopping process made his day.
