Jason Castro Reportedly Agrees to Contract with Twins
Former Houston Astros catcher Jason Castro was sought after by multiple teams in free agency, but it appears he's found a new home, as Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported Castro has reached a deal with the Minnesota Twins.
Buster Olney of ESPN reported on Nov. 16 that the Atlanta Braves were a top bidder for Castro's services.
The 29-year-old has spent his entire career in Houston, playing in more than 100 games in each of the last four years. He batted .210 with a .307 on-base percentage and 11 home runs in 113 games this past season.

Castro was also named an All-Star in 2013, when he hit .276 with 18 home runs.
In a limited free-agent class featuring Matt Wieters and an injured Wilson Ramos as top options, Castro was a hot commodity as a left-handed catcher with home run power and good defensive play behind the plate.
If he can return to his level of play from 2013, he could end up being a steal for the Twins.
