Jahlil Okafor Loses Bet to 76ers Teammate Joel Embiid as Kansas Beats Duke

When Frank Mason III hit a last-second shot to give the Kansas Jayhawks a 77-75 victory over the Duke Blue Devils on Tuesday night, there may have been nobody more upset than former Duke star Jahlil Okafor.

That's because he knew fellow Philadelphia 76er Joel Embiid—a top-three pick out of Kansas—was going to rub the loss in his face.

The 22-year-old Embiid has always been one to clown around on social media, so when his No. 7 Jayhawks knocked off the No. 1 Blue Devils, he was quick to break out a tweet:

Of course, he had to single out one Duke alum in particular:

It only got worse for Okafor. On Wednesday, he had to pay up on a friendly bet with Embiid by sporting Jayhawks gear.

Okafor has to be hoping his Blue Devils will get a chance at redemption come March.
