Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Andrea Pinamonti and Alex Iwobi
Arsenal are reportedly one of a trio of Premier League clubs that are interested in landing Inter Milan tyro Andrea Pinamonti.
That's according to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t TalkSport), which adds that in addition to the Gunners, Manchester City and Liverpool are also looking at the 17-year-old. The forward is also said to have admirers in the form of Barcelona, Villarreal and Juventus.
As the piece noted, Pinamonti has been in blistering form so far this season for the Nerazzurri academy team, netting 10 goals in just seven games. The Primavera starlet has also represented Italy at under-17 level.

To have reportedly caught the eye of so many elite names across Europe, Pinamonti evidently possesses plenty of talent. Here's a look at what he can offer:
According to the initial piece, Pinamonti has until 2018 on his current contract with Inter, and the club are seeking to tie him down to a long-term deal to stave off interest. After all, for a young player, the prospect of joining Arsenal, Barcelona or another of the aforementioned teams would be appealing.
The Gunners have a history of snapping up talent at a young age from around Europe, with Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin being noticeable examples. However, given the goals he's scoring and the speed at which he is developing, Pinamonti would be unwise to turn his back on Inter so early in his career.
Alex Iwobi Discusses Loan Fears

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has conceded that he thought he was going to end up on loan away from the Emirates Stadium this season.
The youngster has added a dash of youthful exuberance to the Gunners attack on the left flank, dovetailing superbly with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott. Speaking to Arsenal Player (h/t ESPN.co.uk), Iwobi admitted he was unsure whether he'd get the chance to do so this season.
"I thought a long time ago that I'd be on loan and probably get experience there before having experience in the first team, but the fact that the boss trusted me to jump into the first team as quick as I did, I'm just grateful for it," said the 20-year-old. "The same way I was able to break into it is the same way that I take the chance now."

Despite breaking into the first-team squad towards the back end of the 2015-16 season, Iwobi is now a vital cog in the Arsenal attack. His searing pace, nifty feet and gangly somatotype make him difficult for defenders to pin down.
As we can see here, courtesy of BigSport, the confidence he's gained from a run in the Arsenal team has been evident in his performances with Nigeria on the international stage:
Manager Arsene Wenger would have been delighted to see Iwobi take his chance, and his performances on the left flank have allowed Sanchez to shimmy inside to lead the line. It's a tactical tweak that's added further fluidity to the Arsenal attack this term.
The progression of the forward is an example of what can be achieved by a young player when he's given a chance at an elite side, too. Iwobi's confidence, composure and stunning technical ability are a credit to the way he's been crafted by the Gunners' revered academy.
