Bill Murray Provides Random Cubs Fan with Ticket to Game 6 of World Series
While many Chicago Cubs fans have spent thousands of dollars to see their team play in their first World Series in 71 years, one fan lucked out in a big way Tuesday night.
According to MLB.com's Alyson Footer, Cubs fan Karen Michel showed up to Cleveland's Progressive Field on Tuesday hoping to get her hands on a ticket to Game 6. Of course, the box office was sold out for the potential clincher for the home team. As a result, this desperate fan needed to find another way to get in the gates.
In an unbelievable turn of events, a fellow Cubs fan was willing to give Michel an extra ticket he had. That fan just happened to be Bill Murray, who she had seen and had decided to follow.

"He turns around and says, 'Here, here's a ticket,'" Michel said, per Footer. "And he kind of shuttled me into the door. I thought it was just a ticket to get in. But it was a ticket to sit right here."
From no ticket to sitting just rows behind home plate with Bill Murray. That's about as good as it gets.
Michel saw her Cubs jump out to an early lead and force a Game 7 with a 9-3 victory. It's not clear if she has a ticket to Wednesday night's winner-take-all game, but if she isn't in the stands for Game 7, she at least came away from the series with a lifelong memory.
