Nneka Ogwumike Wins WNBA Title for Los Angeles Sparks

Zac WassinkOct 20, 2016

Maya Moore gave the Minnesota Lynx a 76-75 lead over the Los Angeles Sparks with 15 seconds remaining in the deciding game of the WNBA Finals on Thursday night.

Los Angeles' Nneka Ogwumike made sure the Lynx didn't repeat as champions.

Chelsea Gray missed a turn-around jumper at the opposite end of the court with six seconds remaining, but Ogwumike was there to grab the offensive rebound, recover after her initial attempt was blocked and score from the paint to give Los Angeles a 77-76 win.
