Fan Goes Viral After Revealing She Used to Carry Michael Jordan Cutout Around

Back in grade school, some kids had a Flat Stanley project that required them to carry a paper character around with them wherever they went. 

A Twitter user named Irene Liao had a similar experience back in third grade—only instead of Flat Stanley, she used a cardboard cutout of Michael Jordan.

It wasn't for a school project, though. She just did it because she was huge fan.

According to Deadspin's Samer Kalaf, a young Liao saw the cutout in a store and negotiated a deal (for about $6). And with that, a "friendship" began.

Liao took cardboard MJ everywhere, snapping some pics along the way:

Sadly, Liao eventually threw out the cardboard Jordan. But at least she has some photos of her fun times with it.
