Mamba Week: Bryant Hits 2 Impossible Shots, Beating the 'Kobe Stopper'

B/R VideoAug 23, 2016

On April 14, 2004, Kobe Bryant hit two clutch shots to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to the Pacific Division title with a victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

In a miraculous display of skill and composure under pressure, Kobe hit not one, but two buzzer-beaters—the first over Blazers forward Ruben Patterson, the self-proclaimed "Kobe Stopper."

The first shot sent the game into overtime, and the second won it. Relive Kobe's heart-stopping performance in the video above as we celebrate Mamba Week.
