Nike Air Jordan 5 'Olympic' Release Date, Pics, Price
Air Jordan enters the Olympics celebration Saturday with an epic offering, the Nike Air Jordan 5 "Olympic" retro .
As expected by its namesake, it's an eye-catching, gold-infused affair inspired by the medals Olympians receive for reaching the top spot on a podium.
Here's a look at the release details, via Sneaker Bar Detroit:
| Saturday, August 20 | $190 |
B/R Kicks provided a look at the grandiose offering:
By all accounts, this is a basic, classic design, with a white leather upper alongside black and gold accents with a flashy tongue.
Basic, with a dash of Olympic tongue.
Villa provided the zoom on Instagram:
Though the main attraction, the rest of the shoe isn't a slouch—especially on the foot.
Kicks on Fire snapped the scenario:
Jordan Hub grabbed another:
"Will you grab the Olympic 5's that release Saturday, August 13, 2O16 for $19O... pic.twitter.com/4L8nAb8vC9

More than anything, it's quite easy to overlook the contrast the gold and blue accents provide so well on the bottom. It's a nice touch and a way to avoid going overboard to ruin the shoe's basic white upper.
Call it the perfect shoe for the special occasion. It's an older design with a dash of the dramatic, which fits well with the Olympics this year—which feature familiar older games but a younger generation shattering record after record once thought untouchable.
Sneakerheads can get their hands on the Nike Air Jordan 5 "Olympic" starting Saturday.
