With 1.2 seconds left in overtime and Utah trailing 89-87, Trey Lyles tipped in Spencer Butterfield's intentionally missed free throw to beat the horn, forcing a sudden-death period.
Maybe Pat Connaughton had plans—because he had no interest in sticking around.
Forty seconds into the second overtime, the former Notre Dame star buried a three-pointer to give Portland a 92-89 win.
