Joakim Noah Once Visited Phil Jackson in Montana Unannounced, Stayed 3 Days

Phil Jackson's signing of Joakim Noah has been a long time in the making.

On Friday, the big man was introduced as a member of the New York Knicks. According to Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal, Noah has some history with the Zen Master.

It's peculiar, to say the least:

Earlier in the news conference, Jackson said he's been eyeing Noah as his center for some time, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News:

Maybe that spontaneous meeting in Montana is why.
