
Pau Gasol Reportedly Agrees to 2-Year Contract with San Antonio Spurs
Pau Gasolย opted out of the final year of his contract with the Chicago Bulls on June 27 and decided to move on, reportedly choosing to sign with the San Antonio Spurs.
David Aldridge of NBA.com confirmed the deal was done after Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported the two sides were finalizing terms on a two-year, $30 million deal.ย
Earlier,ย Marc Steinย of ESPN.comย reported the Spurs were "lasered in" on Gasol, which Stein noted "becomes even more crucial if Tim Duncan elects to walk away." Wojnarowskiย reported Duncan is "leaning strongly toward retirement."
