Karl-Anthony Towns, D'Angelo Russell Reflect on Playing with Ben Simmons in HS
Kyle NewportJun 23, 2016
Former LSU star Ben Simmons will reportedly be the No. 1 pick in Thursday night's NBA draft, according to Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com. When Simmons officially makes the jump to the pros, he will see a few familiar faces: Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns and Los Angeles Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell.
When they were all in high school, Simmons, Towns (the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA draft) and Russell (last year's No. 2 overall pick) all played in a game together. The latter two remember it well.
In a DraftKings exclusive, Towns and Russell reflected on their experience sharing a court with Simmons in a game filled with future stars.
