Crawford Keeping Options Open

Speaking to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, Crawford said he would prefer not to change jerseys but won't shut the door on anything this offseason:
"My preference is to re-sign with the Clippers. But I understand that, at the end of the day, I’m a free agent so I have to look at everything. I have to take every call and consider every offer that comes to me and my agent. I have to, that’s just part of being a free agent. Like I said, my preference is to re-sign with the Clippers. But we have to take every single call that comes in. That’s the way it is.
"
Crawford noted that Los Angeles Clippers head coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers did say the team hopes to bring him back after four successful seasons.
Crawford Among Elite Role Players
While he's never been a superstar, Crawford has been one of the NBA's most valuable assets in the second half of his career. The 36-year-old has averaged at least 14 points and 2.3 assists per game in each of the last seven seasons.
Given Crawford's age, he will likely be one of the more sought-after free agents because teams won't have to break the bank to sign him. His versatility as a bench player who acts as a sixth starter will help his leverage at the negotiating table.
