Draymond Green to Attend Rangers vs. A's During Game 5 of 2016 NBA Finals

Joseph ZuckerJun 13, 2016

Since he's unable to be in the building for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is heading next door to catch the action at the Oakland Coliseum.

Catherine Aker, the Oakland Athletics' director of corporate communications, confirmed to TMZ Sports that Green will be in attendance for the team's Monday matchup with the Texas Rangers.

The San Francisco Giants also offered Green two tickets for Monday's game with the Milwaukee Brewers:

The NBA suspended Green for Game 5. The league retroactively gave him a flagrant-1 foul for his swing at LeBron James' groin in Game 4, which automatically ruled him out for one game:

The ban extends beyond just Green's ability to suit up for the Warriors Monday night. According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein, the 2016 All-Star has to vacate Oracle Arena two hours prior to tipoff, though he'd be able to return for any postgame celebrations should Golden State clinch the series.

ESPN's Michele Steele figures hitting up the A's game will be a good way for Green to kill some time:

Making the short jog to Oracle Arena won't be difficult, per The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears:

Green would prefer to be on the floor in the event the Warriors capture their second straight title, but watching the A's will be a helpful distraction as he follows Game 5 on television from Oakland Coliseum.
