Nike KD 9 Flyknit 'Pre-Heat' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
Before Kevin Durant hits free agency this summer, he's teaming up with Nike to bring sneakerheads the KD 9 Flyknit "Pre-Heat" edition of his popular shoe.
Folks have been clamoring for a while to get their hands on the shoes Durant wore during the Oklahoma City Thunder's playoff run.
The kicks arrive soon in the wolf grey, white and infrared colorway seen in the Western Conference playoffs.
Here's a look at the release details, via Sneaker Bar Detroit:

Some might conjure up conspiracy theories about the name of these eye-catching shoes, but that probably has more to do with the temperature of the upcoming season.
Sneaker Bar Detroit looked at the shoe in a fitting environment:
Familiar design or not, it's hard to argue with how well the grey meshes with the net-like fabric. The white is a nice touch to go with the swoosh, but it's the innovative, gap-filled design of the infrared bottom that rounds out the look.
Said bottom, of course, is what will dazzle onlookers on and off the court. The Produce Section provided multiple angles, including the bright bottom:

By now, folks should know what to expect from the front and back of a Durant offering, with the tongue logo still intact and the back pull tab making an appearance.
Nice Kicks on Instagram captured the shoes in action:
NBA on Court captured a few more images of Durant rocking the kicks, including a full look at the back and the smooth white "KD" logo:
For Durant, these kicks might produce a bit of a sour taste, given the Thunder's epic collapse against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
As for everyone else, though, this is a sweet new offering from one of the shoe game's juggernauts.
Much around Durant seems up in the air right now, but one thing isn't—his status alongside LeBron James and Stephen Curry as a player with reliable, must-have shoe offerings.
Sneakerheads can get their hands on the KD 9 Flyknit "Pre-Heat" beginning this coming Monday.
