Jeff Teague Reportedly Traded to Pacers as Part of 3-Team Deal

The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly traded point guard Jeff Teague to the Indiana Pacers as part of a three-team deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical. Wojnarowski reported George Hill will be headed to the Utah Jazz as part of the swap, citing league sources.

Teague had been rumored to be on the trading block since June 2, when The Vertical's Shams Charania reported the Hawks were discussing a deal that would have sent Teague to the Philadelphia 76ers as part of a package in exchange for center Nerlens Noel.

Teague has just one year and $8 million remaining on his deal, and there would be nothing preventing him from testing unrestricted free agency next summer if he decided he didn't want to play out the remainder of his prime in Indiana. However, it should be noted Teague is eligible for an extension beginning July 13 and that his deal includes a 10 percent trade kicker.

Teague and Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry were the only players to average at least 15 points and five assists while shooting better than 40 percent from three last season. He will be a strong piece alongside Paul George in Indiana.
