Knicks Fans Can Buy 2016 NBA Draft Hats Even Though Team Doesn't Have a Pick

If there's one NBA team that shouldn't expect to sell much draft-related gear this year, it's the New York Knicks.

The franchise does not (currently) own a pick in the 2016 draft. But that's not stopping the team and league from trying to sell official draft hats.

New York agreed to let the Denver Nuggets swap first-round picks in 2016 as part of the Carmelo Anthony trade in 2011. Then the Knicks sent the pick to Toronto as part of the Andrea Bargnani deal in 2013. As for the second-round pick, the team dealt that away in 2012 as part of a package to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Raymond Felton.

Two rounds, zero picks.

Of course, perhaps the hat will make an appearance at the draft. ESPN.com's Ian Begley recently reported the Knicks "plan to acquire a pick." For now, though, this hat is more humorous than practical.
